FAQ/ Help Directory Listing I paid for a membership. Why am I not listed in the directory? The original membership page provided subscribers with three options to choose from.
We closed those subscription options 2/15/2010 to begin the layout so you will no longer see that on that page. If you paid for the regular subscription ($25.00) you were not listed in the "opt-in" directory. Directories are provided to subscribers free of charge while supplies last. Subscriptions paid by 3/31/2010 for the calendar year will be sent a directory. Directories are provided on a first come first serve basis while supplies last for paid subscriptions after 4/1/2010 The next CJCI directory will be distributed 4/15/2011. All copies for the 2010 calendar have been distributed. (Limit one directory per subscription) Shipping Addresses: Where will my magazine be sent? All magazines are shipped to the Paypal address. If you need your magazine shipped elsewhere please write: Melinda @ costumejewelrycollectors.com Membership Information All memberships are filed by the payment information. If you wish to have your email address change from your paypal address let us know and we'll happily do that for you. How many magazines are there per year. We plan on publishing 4 magazines per year. Each expanding greater than the last as our membership grows to cover costs. (Each subscription to the magazine includes a Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter issue) Will members be published online? Only Local chapter leaders will be listed with contact information. We will from time to time post pictures of our events or post stories about the activities that may include our members. However, no personal information will be posted. Email Response Time Hours: Most email is answered Monday-Friday within a few hours of receipt but may take up to 24 to 48 hours depending on the volume and nature of question. Emergency Questions - Response Time We do our best to address most emails including critical email from 10:00 -11:00 am and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. M-F. In an emergency situation you are welcome to email us to set up a conference call with Melinda or put "Emergency" in subject line. We'll do our best to address your concern as quickly as possible. Social Network Invitations All membership invitation are based on your Paypal email address or the email provided on the membership form submitted with a check. If you use a different email to query about your Social Network Invitation or membership to CJCI please also give us the email used for your PAYPAL payment or check payment. This will allow us to locate your information readily. Will my invitation expire? Invitations expire 90 days after they are issued. If more than 90 days has transpired from the time you subscribed to CJCI and the time you tried to join the Ning network, please request a new invitation. Check Payments and Social Network Invitation/ I sent a check in and I haven't heard anything yet. Please allow 7 - 10 days from the time you mail the check to the time you receive an invitation to the Social Network. Checks take longer to be processed. If an email address was not included with your check, you will not receive an invitation to the social network. If more than 10 days has transpired, buy all means write us. In most cases we discover that the invitation was sent and simply got filtered as spam. Once I join CJCI how long does it take to get an online invitation. Within 24 to 48 hours of your Paypal payment, you will receive an invitation to join our online community in the Ning Social Network Space. This applies to business days only. We encourage new membership. Please direct inquiries to http://costumejewelrycollectors.com/membership.htm to join our club and receive the 4 magazine issues. B. For the NING or online Social Network, we respectfully request that you NOT use the INVITE function. This site is being used for our official members/subscribers only. Only members/subscribers verified by Pam or Melinda will be part of the NING space. http://costumejewelrycollectors.ning.com Inviting members directly from NING adds confusion to the process. Link to invite others to the Ning Site Please ignore instruction #1 on your "Your Costume Jewelry Collectors International membership has been approved" email for inviting folks to the NING network. In order to keep our social network exclusive to the paid subscribers of CJCI we request that you do not specifically invite people to the Ning network but direct them to this website. I was invited to the Social Network. Why do I now need to be approved? Although we request that you not invite people to the Ning Network, the Ning system allows every user to invite others to the network. In order to maintain the exclusive use of our network for our paid subscribers, each invitee gets manually approved once they've accepted our opt-in invitation. It may take up to 24 to 48 hours to approve your pending membership. :) I clicked the link on my invitation but left the site. Now when I click the link, I get an error that states, "This site is by invitation only." What did I do wrong? Never fear, we'll get you up and going. Unfortunately if you leave the Ning site during your initial sign-up process your invitation will become invalid. Please write Melinda @ costumejewelrycollectors.com and she'll gladly reissue a new invitation to you. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope that this is address with the Ning platform designers. Why do I need a picture to join Ning? A picture is the only requirement that we make of our members/subscribers. This is to help create community and allow our members to get to know one another. You are welcome to upload an image of your choosing.* Jewelry and business logos are the most popular. *CJCI reserves the right to remove any image deemed inappropriate or obscene. What if I have other problems joining the CJCI Ning Social Network where can I go for answers? Should you have challenges with your CJCI Ning Social membership please go to this link for some tips. http://costumejewelrycollectors.com/help.htm I have a password to the Ning Network but it won't let me in. For security reasons CJCI does not have access to your Ning password.
